El Cap (OS 10.11.x) update - now PMS ( Plex Media Server 1.3.3 ) won't launch

Plex Media Server won't launch - crashes on launch
(A bunch of these threads but none of them seem recent, nor relating to new OS, so here we go:)

2014 5k iMac
OS 10.11.4

Tried so far:

• Uninstall Plex (per the support page) - removed;
  ~/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server,
  ~/Library/Preferences/com.plex*
  and anything with 'plex' in the name - restart

• downloaded latest version (1.3.3)
