Local Network

Hi, I have used Plex in the past without much hassle. Let's see I have a wired old mac that has Media Server installed and was working, this connected to a Wifi Router that also has a networked drive (Lacie Cloudbox) where all the movies live.
My internet connection is not on this network, it is on another WiFi router that is not owned by me.
I had previously set everything up connected to WiFi (192.168.10.1) and created libraries, updated names for movies and series.
Local network is on 192.168.1.1, both have a 255.255.255.0 subnet mask
I went to fire up the server on the wifi that has internet (without the wired network) to log in and tell the server to do not ask for authentication when I'm on the same network.. saved ok..
Restart Media Server and the client (this computer), on the same wired network (that also has a Wifi network so I can watch movies on this computer) says it does not see the Media Server..
Can any1 shed some light?
I want to be able to have Plex on a local network but somehow it is not letting me
