Changing volumes (as in drive volume)

Hi there,

i have a rather large plex setup (in my eyes). A total of 36 TB spread over a bunch of hard drives connected to a Mac Mini Server that basically only does Plex (and 1-2 other services in the network). I have been upgrading and upgrading and currently have so many hard drives and enclosures that it is time for a big change:

In the next days I will be getting a few new drives and a few 8-bey enclosures.

Currently the media is Organised like this:

Volume Name: ##Plex N## (N for Numbers...)

In there I have sub folders:

Films

HD 3D Films

HD Films

Series

And in there Every Movie has a folder and every Show Season has a folder.

Currently everything is matched perfectly. (I have been using this library since about 2011 / 2012).

I want to replace all the drives and fill the new ones with the same content and folder structure. This is how I was planing on doing it:

-) First I disable all sources for the Libraries (Hard drive links)
-) Then I re link the Libraries to the new volumes and folders (same folder structure, same files names)

Would the Media server then automatically rematch all the media with the same entries?

Is there a better way of doing this?

I would love your ideas!

TIA

Fabio
