Since 2004, when I got my first Mac, my entire music collection has been organised with iTunes, tbis means that nearly all metadata in my iTunes library has been added or edited with iTunes.
My Plex music library on my PMS is pointed to iTunes Media > Music on my iMac - I have Local Media Assets at the top of my Agents list on PMS, but my question is: the filters on the apps for the devices I use most often away from home, my iPhone and a Kindle Fire, use different criteria (label, country etc) than those offered in the fields of the iTunes for OSX editor. So should I re-edit all my music files using a metadata editor that is more 'Plex friendly', and then create a new music files folder outside iTunes on my Mac?
