Hi all, I have a Synology DS214play that I tried using the Plex Server app on, but kept having buffering issues and the shoddy DS Video app refuses to play many proper .mp4 files for no reason over Internet (not intranet)
What I'd like to do is use my 2011 i7 Mac mini (wirelessly) as my Plex server with my Synology which is wired into my Time Machine router. My only hesitation is that the Mac will be serving over wifi, introducing (an unknown amount of) lag and the Synology isn't directly connected to it. They're in 2 entirely different areas on my house so there's no possibility of having Mac wired into router, or for NAS to be connected into Mac via USB.
