Hello Forum members,
I'm a new user of Plex Media Server having downloaded it only a few days ago and am having severe problems trying to add my music library.
I have now attempted to add my music library 3 times (twice overnight) and all that happens is that I see a spinning wheel for hours and hours that never concludes. I have carefully followed the instructions for creating a new basic library. After the second attempt to add a library I completely deleted the Plex application, application support folders, caches, preferences, etc. and then re-installed - but still no luck.
I am running OSX El Capitan on my iMac and using the Chrome browser.
The path to my music library is User/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Music.
In the final Music folder are all the folders by artist name.
My music library has around 7,000 tracks and takes up approx. 63Gb of space on my computer.
I'm trying to create a basic library.
I tick the box that says 'Import from iTunes'.
I do not presently require Remote Access, only to use PMS around my home.
My actions have created 2 Channels for iTunes which contain my music but these channels do not appear when I see the PMS listed in my Media Receiver (a QED uPlay Stream), which shows my libraries as empty.
