Hi All,
Weird thing has randomly started happening on my Plex Server.
Setup is as follows:
Back End
i7 Mac Mini, 16GB RAM, 260GB SSD OS Drive, 2TB 'Data' Drive - Running latest version of Mac OSX 10.11.2 (El Capitan) and Plex Server 0.12.9.19
Plex is installed on the SSD
Storage
NAS (4x4TB Drive, RAID 10, 8TB Usable Storage)
Plex Library is stored on here
Front Ends
NowTV (new style) Roku box in the Lounge
iPad 2
iPhone 6S
iPhone 5S
MacBook Air i7, 8GB RAM, etc
Network
Apple Time Capsule (AC WiFi). NAS and Plex Server directly plugged in on Wired Lan. All other devices using WiFi and show has having strong signals on Airport Utility.
The box has been working perfectly, and to my knowledge, I've changed nothing.
Randomly, It has started quiting back to the Menu when using it on the iPad, iPhones or Mac after about 1-2 minutes of viewing, and on the Roku box it just comes up with 'Buffering' and never manages to recover.
If I reboot the Mac, it starts working perfectly again for about 24 hours, and then it all starts again.
I've not knowingly changed any settings or updated anything. I've installed some temperature monitoring software to see if the box was working too hard doing transcoding, and just to be safe I've installed some software that runs the fans on 100% permanently. That hasn't made any difference.
Any ideas on where I should start? It doesn't seem to matter what quality the file is, even some old 480p files aren't working.
