Not sure if I have found a bug. I run two Plex Server in two different location. Location 1 is my default server and it runs the standard Port access 32400. At location 2 (at a different location and IP address), I run it on Port 32401.
Question: With Mac Plex Server 0.9.12.19, I have successfully access the server #2 out in the interest (when I travel). The media server also said "I full access to the server, and icon is green check icon". Then I upgraded to 0.9.14.4, and the remote access will not work. I made sure I am still on port 32401 for outside access (and still have the same IP address before the upgrade, so my router can send plex request to that machine). I restarted the server, but it doesn't solve the issue. I reinstall the old server software 0.9.12.19, the remote access is back as before, with a green icon and full access outside of the network.
I tried installing the new plex server for Mac, v 0.9.15.0, same problem. No access outside of the network, and no "green check icon". I would disable the remote access, then try to turn the remote access "on" again, but it does not solve the problem. Restart the Mac with a full restart boot, but problem continues. I reinstalled (again) the old Plex Media Server, 0.9.12.19, and problem goes away, and I now have full access outside of the network and have a green check icon.
My two servers are both running Mac OS 10.7.5, on a MacMini(s). Both machine have over 4 GB of RAM. But I don't think that it is the issues. My Server #1 did, all the upgrades without any problems, and has default remote access port 32400. Server #2 is the machine with odd ball port 32401. But, if it works with Plex Server 0.9.12.19. So why does it not work with the Plex Media Server 0.9.14.4 and 0.9.15.0? But when you put back 0.9.12.19, the remote access works again?
