I'm having a problem with "Scan Library Files" removing movies from the database and then adding them back on the next scan. If I add a movie to my movies library and then scan, the new movie will be added and sometimes between 1 and 10 existing movies may be removed from the library.
If I immediately rescan the library, the files will be added back as new movies, which means I have to re-tag them for sharing and it messes up my Recently Added list. It's always the same movies and in the same sub-folder. This is my largest sub-folder with 795 movies (out of a total of 3100 movies). I have tried splitting the folder into two but still have the problem but now with only one movie.
My folder structure has each movie in its own subfolder within a genre folder as a sub-folder to the main folder (Movies) specified in the library
Movies > World Cinema > Moviename (YYYY) > Moviename (YYYY).avi
I'm running Version 3.14.1 of the Web interface and Version 1.8.1.4139 of the Plex Media Server on a Mac Mini with the media files stored on a Synology NAS. The problem has occurred on several previous Plex versions, not just the current version
