Plex scans unrelated movies as multiple versions of same movie.

This is a clean install of the MacOS High Sierra/Mac Mini (2009 Late) and Plex Server.
This is not a naming problem. This/Plex worked fine before with no issues.
I moved and reorganized my movie collection, so after an OS upgrade I thought starting plex from a fresh install would be a good idea. Not so much.

Plex is making a hash of my library.
For example:
Plex scans: “2001 - A Space Odyssey (1969)”
The Metadata info is correct.
Backdrop/fanart is for the movie “Ghost In The Shell (2017)”
It also adds the movie “Red Planet (2000)” as a version.

I tried to fix mismatch which fixes the metadata but not the mismatched Move.
Out of over 1500 movies more than 20% are as above.

Any ideas? I am sure it is something simple but I can not see it.

Thanks for the help
