Hi there, I have been happily playing all movie content to all devices iPhones, iPads smart TVs etc and decided to add my iTunes movies folder as a folder to Plex in the vain hope that it would simply identify the movies and let me play them through Plex so as to have all movies playing through Plex.
I was wrong, it identifies the movies no problems but when attempting to play them it fails on all devices.
The smart to gives an error 2 and the apple devices don't even give an error they just fail.
Is there a special way I should be setting the scanned folder up?
I don't use secure network traffic, it's disabled already (I saw previous posts suggesting this might work so wanted to advise it's already disabled).
I really don't want to have to convert the movies to MP4 every time I buy a new film, can't Plex just play them as I though DRM was no longer an issue for Plex.
The PMS server runs on a late 2015 Mac Pro with a thunderbolt attached LaCie 12TB Raid disk.
Any help would be much appreciated as I want to use one or the other and not both and from the looks of it I can import the Plex movie folders into iTunes without issue, but this is not the route I want to go down, I would prefer to keep Plex.
