Connection Fails/Succeeds Randomly

Hello, and thanks for Plex. If I can get this to work, I think we're going to really like it.

I'm on a Mac/Yosemite, trying to connect to the Roku box (4230x) on our TV.

I have Plex setup on our Mac so that Plex automatically launches when the Mac is booted. The goal is that my wife won't have to know anything about Plex other than to press the Mac power button.

About half the time it works perfectly. I login, Plex launches, we can connect via Roku.

The other half of the time the connection fails with this error.

————————————
Safari says this...

Safari can’t connect to the server

Safari can’t open the page 127.0.0.1:32400/webindex.html because

Safari can’t connect to the server 127.0.0.1

————————————

And Firefox says this...

Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at 127.0.0.1:32400.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

I can see no pattern to connection success or failure. I've been testing for 2 days. It will work fine every time for a bit, and then fail for awhile. It will fail, I'll log right back in, and then it will work. And then it will fail to connect again 1 minute later.

Roku is connected to our network by an ethernet cable. The Mac is connecting by wi-fi.

I've turned the firewall on the Mac off. Don't know if that helps or not.

That's all I know. Any advice regarding how to get Plex to connect reliably?

Thanks.
