Plex Media Server won't run on OSX

Hi, i have been using Plex for a few years, never an issue with it. Yesterday though, i have noticed that the libraries won't update, when uploading a few new movies. It seemed to have got stuck so after several unsuccessful tries, i have decided to uninstall and reinstall Plex. Before uninstalling i had all of a sudden problems connecting to internet, which i had to solve by using the network diagnostic. Fact is, now Plex Media Server would't even open. it is in the Application Folder, but it won't run, or open. As if there is a conflict somewhere, but i have no clue where to look.
I am totally overwhelmed here. Any help is being appreciated!
