Location of Playlists; Editing of Items

Hello,

A few quick questions regaring playlists in Plex:

  1. Where are the playlists actually stored? That is for the purpose of backing them up, manually.
  2. Is there any kind of synchronization mechanism to the playlists that makes sure any changes whatsoever I apply to the files that were selected for a playlist, will be reflected and updated in the playlist? For example, when I:

* Edit ANY ID3 tag of a file that's in the playlist
* (through Windows File Explorer) rename or move a file, or an entire folder, that are in the playlist.
3. I edited some albums directly through the Plex web interface, using the conventional edit (with the pencil icon) dialog. I noticed that those edits are not applied to the files themselves, and I assume due to two reasons:
* When I played the albums through the Windows 10 File Explorer, with foobar2000, the changes disappeared altogether.
* The Plex-initiated edits did not trigger the Dropbox synchronization process, meaning that there were no changes applied to the files.
4. Correct me if I'm wrong: You CAN'T edit or delete library items (or make changes to libraries altogether) through the Plex iOS mobile apps?

My main server currently runs on OS X but I have anoter server running on a Synology NAS, so my questions refer to that platform as well.

Thanks.
