None of the unsupported apps work?

I've spent about 4 hours installing all of the different unsupported apps I could find and not one of them are working for me.
I either get
There was a problem playing this item,
or just audio
RARELY, A show will play, But rarely.
I'm on OSX, and would like to use plex on my samsung television once i find an actual app that is reliable.
