So I have a 2012 Mac Mini with an i7, 6gb ram and a WB black 500gb. Attached is a lightning 10tb NAS with 6 hdd's.
Local (local meaning on my own home network) streaming has always been great. Never any quality loss with the server set to 720p, never any buggering and the UI operated smoothly. Enter 2016 and this entire year, or at leas t since the gui change it's been running like a dog.
The mac literally does nothing else except run Plex. It's not used for any web browsing or gaming.. just plex. It has plenty of resources available, anyone seen similar things?
