With the pending sales coming up this weekend, I was wondering if people could provide some advice. I am currently running Plex on a mid-2010 iMac with external storage.
The external storage is a "Mediasonic HF2-SU3S2 ProBox 4 Bay Hard Drive Enclosure with USB 3.0 & eSATA" containing 4 "Western Digital Caviar Green 3 TB SATA III 64 MB Cache Bare/OEM Desktop Hard Drive - WD30EZRX" in a RAID1 configuration. I only have about 10GB remaining, so I need to add some storage.
I would like to add a NAS to my system (as media storage only, server still on the iMac). I like running a RAID1 configuration, but would be open to other ideas.
If people could recommend NAS systems that they use (boxes and drives), I'd appreciate it. I won't be able to fully load it with drives right now, but will want to be able to expand my storage as I can afford it. Any and all advice is appreciated.
I'll check the usual suspects and see if anyone puts anything on sale.
Thanks
