I've got quite a large library and 128 Gb space on my iPhone 7 and now want to fill it up with lots of albums and tracks of music. Synchronization is a hell. Synced 40 Gb of music with lots of patience but i want more. Now syncing is becoming slow as hell and suddenly out of the blue it's visually syncing music, progress counter works but after syncing the music is not in the local playlist from the Plex.app on the iPhone. Sure, it's on the list of synced items but nowhere else shown on the phone. Tried searching manually by entering trackname, artists and all but the tracks are not visable in Local and Synced content. They do cost storage-space on the phone so the files are synced but not visible...
Looks like big numbers of files are somehow clogging up the Plex.app on the iPhone.
I tried logging out, cleaning caches and all. Reinstallation of Plex Server and Plex.app. No dice Looks like i hit some kind of maximum in Plex. The iPhone still has 70 Gb of free space so that's cool. PMS running on Mini Mac. latest version 1.2.3.2914. Latest app on the iPhone 7. It's getting totally unreliable for me.
Edit: found a little workaround. Just made a playlist from 4 albums that previously did not show up in the synced items list. Synced the playlist from the server to the app on the iPhone and the albums now show up on the Playlist on the iPhone but still invisible in the Album-folder… Now it works half. I will fill up the rest of the storage of my iPhone this way just to see if i'll hit a wall again.
Edit 2: now that worked out not so well either. Too quick jumped to the conclusion that this could work. Wrong, now it's totally messed up. I can do 2 things. Completely uninstall, discard of my library. Reinstall and rebuild library again with Plex or go the Emby way… mmm not sure yet. let's see where this goes.
