Plex Media Server has not worked since updating to MacOS Sierra

Hey guys,

Familiar refrain, I know, but I haven't seen this specific problem outlined anywhere. I use Plex Media Server to stream to my Apple TV, and it has not worked at all since my computer updated to MacOS Sierra over a month ago.

Here's what happens:

  • I start up Plex Media Server (latest version), everything seems fine. I'm even able to update my library.

  • I attempt to connect to my media server using the Plex app on Apple TV (latest generation, latest software update).

  • My Plex app hangs for a minute, then tells me it can't connect to my server.
  • I try to launch Plex on my computer and receive a similar message.

I'm unable to check my server settings because my computer can't connect to my server. Literally the only thing that has changed about my setup in the last month is my upgrade to MacOS Sierra, so I'm not sure what else it can be.

The only thing that halfway works is to completely uninstall Plex Media Server and reinstall, losing all of my library settings in the process. And this reinstallation works once and then never again.

Anybody have any ideas what's causing this? Is there a fix on the way? It's already been nearly a month.
