MP3 won't play on PS3 PS3 shows files as unsupported data after plex update

My PS3 can't read MP3 files as it gives an error of unsupported data. Prior to the update the same files were showing up ok, my bad luck thought of updating pled first and then playing them....any clues anybody...latest version of plex installed
