So I had an older Mac mini (2009) that was serving as my Plex server until I got a deal on a refurb 2012 quad-core Mac Mini a while ago. I happily used migration assistant to move over all of my configuration, programs etc, so I could keep my "watched" shows the same without a lot of config file wizardry and things worked great.
Later, I ended up with a second house so I cranked up the ol' mac mini, flushed out the plex config (possibly incorrectly), and renamed it (in system preferences).
Now, I seem to have an issue... Plex clients seem to get confused as to which server is which, sometimes accessing the old server and calling it the new name, other times having issues connecting to the plex.tv service.
Is there a simple way to change whatever token, GUID, or other identifying item which is causing all of this confusion or do I simply need to wipe out and reload one of the Mac Minis to solve this problem? I'm not having trouble with any other services (like back to my mac or iCloud).
Thanks and regards,
David
