Hi there,
my Plex Media Server runs on a MacMini. The mini is connected by two routers to the internet. Primary with ethernet in a 192.168.2.x range and secondary by wifi in a 192.168.8x range. This is because I have two internet subscriptions. The first one is relatively fast, but uses a 4G modem (with a simcard etc) and it has a data limit per month. The second one (wifi) is a DSL connection, but that one is really slow (1-3Mb/s).
The slow connection is just enough to watch Netflix or Youtube stuff on a decent quality without consuming my data-limit. The fast connection seems to have problems with double-NAT and there is no way to turn of NAT in that router.
I'd like the PMS to use the (ip address) of the slower wifi network so I sync media to my dropbox, while my apps that download stuff (uTorrent, SABnzb etc) use the fast connection.
The question: I there any way to force (bind?) the PMS to use the wifi-ip-address? I have already configured both routers to give the MacMini a static local ip address (reserved).
Thx,
S.
