Since latest Plex upgrade, now LG TV "missing file" error when attempting play

I'm new here although I've been using Plex for a couple of years. I see the latest Plex Media Server app. 1.1.4 is causing a few issues. My LG TV hasn't always wanted to "find" Plex, it has often been flakey on wifi. After turning the tv off, most of the time it works.
Now I'm hard wired, ie ethernet and after the latest Plex update it can see it on the menu input page, but "missing file" error when I try to play. No problem playing at the Imac end.
I hope an update is not far away, if in fact it is as simple as that.
I can't find a link to an earlier version, can anyone assist?
