I have a Mac Mini that has been running PMS for a couple of years. Always updated. I also have a HD-HomeRun that i use to record television shows from Over-the-Air. Recently, PMS has been unable to store metadata onto my recorded and exported shows. Refreshing just does nothing, and, in fact, removed any metadata from shows that had, at one point, had the correct metadata.
Some of the shows I recorded last year still have the correct metadata (Gotham, Season 01), but shows recently recorded do not (Gotham Season 02, Blindspot Season 01).
I have attached images to show my folder structure as well as what PMS shows me in the web interface.
Here is my recent activity on my Mac Mini as well as how the shows get transcoded and stored:
- Mac Mini Late 2012
a. Processor: Intel Core i5
b. Original HDD: 500GB Mac HDD, 5400 RPM
c. Original RAM: 4GB
d. Updated to El Capitan Pre-HDD/RAM Upgrade
e. New HDD: 1TB Seagate SSHD
f. New RAM: 16GB Apple Certified Micron RAM
g. Restored OS X to New HDD using Time Machine backup.
h. All Media Content is stored on a 4TB External HDD
TV Show Recording Workflow
a. Record TV Shows from HDHomeRun using EyeTV for Mac
b. RecordingDone AppleScript for EyeTV extracts the appropriate data from the Recording
i. Series Name, Show Title, Episode Number, etc)
c. RecordingDone script calls HandBrakeCLI to encode the mpg file from the Recording
i. Encodes to an mp4 file into the appropriate directory on External HDD.PMS is scheduled to update data automatically when contents change in the directory as well as nightly.
So, all of a sudden there is no metadata from TheTVDB and I cannot figure out how to get it to update.
I have tried manual scanning, moving the files out of the directory and back in, etc.
Any ideas would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance
