Why can't I get remote access to work?

I host my own Plex Media Server off of my laptop (a MacBook Pro) and I recently moved into college. When I moved, my Plex Media Server became unavailable. I contacted the company that hosts our internet for the college (Korcett) and they said that they don't block UPnP and they don't block any ports which is what some of the forums online say are required for Plex Media Server to work. They told me to contact support for Plex to see if they could help me troubleshoot the problem further. Do you guys have any suggestions on what I could do to try and troubleshoot this further? I had it working fine on my home network before I moved to college but now that I am at college it isn't working. Is there anything that I could try to verify that they (Korcett) really aren't blocking ports or disabling UPnP? I obviously can't do port forwarding on the router because there is no way that I could get access to the router to change those settings.
