I have a Mac mini mid 2007, core 2 duo so 64 bit processor but only 32bit efi. I wanted to use this as my plex media server to free up my main computer, but cannot install above osx snow leopard because of the gpu , and new plex needs mountain lion or higher.
Does anyone have any suggestions (other than buying a new server!)?
I ddon'tewantto have to shell out for a new server, but was wondering if iI could get round this limitation, eg by replacing osx on the machine with Windows or Linux. if iI did either of these, would latest version of plex install, or would i still belimited because of the gpu?
