Insert obligatory newbie warning here ---->
That said, I've had Plex for a long time, but have just now started using it. Media is on a Synology 415play, PMS is running on a Mac Mini, and main client is a shiny, new Apple TV 4.
The issue I'm running into is playback of MPGs recorded by EyeTV. I'm trying to use the setup shown here: http://zacharyflower.com/2013/02/25/exporting-eyetv-files-to-plex/ as I don't want to transcode; mainly to make recorded shows available that much quicker for my wife. Of the initial attempt of our recorded library, most of the shows played fine once in Plex. However, a handful will not play. They will start and play for a few seconds and then freeze. On closer inspection, I noticed that all of these problem episodes have durations that are far from correct; 18 hours for some. Is there anything I can do to salvage these recordings? The file size looks correct for what its duration should be.
I've seen other people mention issues that seem to be somewhat similar, but I have yet to see a solution posted in any of the threads I've looked at.
I have restarted the server/updated the library; tried playback on other clients/platforms; re-run the transfer from EyeTV.
Any help?
