Hello - first time poster here. I use a Mac Pro as my media server and use my Mac laptop as my client - which I plug a projector into to view my movies. The audio is streamed via Airplay to an Airport Express which my sound system is plugged into. Up until about a year ago Plex handled this flawlessly, but then it started being really temperamental. Rarely can I turn it on and watch a movie and the sound is working off the bat. Sometimes quitting Plex and starting again is enough and other times playing a different movie to 'kick start' the audio into working might work. But I'm often finding myself trying these tricks for 10-15 minutes before it magically starts working again. Once it works it's fine for the entire movie. It's absolutely infuriating. BTW with my iPad there's never a problem with the audio but my preferred option is the laptop because of the better image. Has anyone else experienced this and know of a fix? Please can anyone advise? Thank you! Jon.
