I hope somebody can help me with a problem that is driving me to distraction. For no apparent reason, I am unable to play video files from my macBook Air Plex server through my Apple TV (4th gen). My server is made up of two libraries (Movies and TV Shows) and I can see all files together with relevant metadata. When I navigate to a tv episode or movie I am taken to the preview screen and can hear the background soundtrack playing but my problems start when I hit the play button. I get the spinning circle and then am bounced back to the preview screen. On the rare occasion I might get a file to play after waiting a considerable time for it to load but this is very rare.
I don't think this issue is related to my Mac as I have another Plex server (which points to the same libraries as the Mac) installed on a Windows 10 PC and I get the same problem.
I am able to watch files using the web server and can also watch them using my iPad over AirPlay so there doesn't seem to be an issue with the files themselves.
I've attached the following logs from my Mac - Media Server log, Media Scanner log, Media Scanner Analysis log and DLNA Server log. While looking for these logs I also noticed numerous other logs such as Media Server log.1, Media Server log.2 right up to log 5 and the same goes for all the other logs I've attached. Not sure if this is normal but thought it worth mentioning incase its highlights a problem.
As this problem is also apparent when accessing the Windows server on my Apple TV, I'm sure whether I've posted this request in the correct forum so apologies if not.
